umm yoga? helppppp?
I am a teenager, but I was interested to see if there is some kind of yoga I could do. my friend showed me a routine yoga once and after I felt much better. I was interested if it was not an easy job I could do on my own. something that was simple but I could help. nothing complex! I do not want to break my back. and also im just a kid. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
One of the best ways to start Yoga is learning one of the sun salutation sequences. I think this one of the most popular and easy to do: http://yoga.about.com/yogasequences/ss/sunsalutesteps.htm Here is a link to a book and another to a video specifically aimed at teenagers: http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-By-Teens/dp/B000V0FNVU/ref=pd_bbs_5?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1213931141&sr = 8-5 Here's another video: Remember the yoga http://www.amazon.com/Teen-Yoga/dp/B000YA4K2U/ref=pd_bbs_6?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1213931141&sr=8-6: Always keep constant encouragement and deep. Never hold your breath. Breathe through your nose and exhale through the nose, unless otherwise specified (there are breathing exercises that use different forms of breathing):) Also, listen to your body. Yoga should not hurt. if to a certain pose starts to hurt, her back until it just feels some discomfort. Remember to breathe. Trying to make the pose still gives the benefit, and eventually you will gain the flexibility to move forward in the posture. Be patient with your body. That has had enough time to get out of the lineup, and it will take time for yoga to help pull back in the lineup, giving great posture and a great sense of wellbeing. Another thing to remember is that the positions of equilibrium are hard until you can strengthen your core. The core muscles is what will good balance, so we worked on everything. Never give up yoga!
Good luck!
